CoW DAO July 2024 Highlights
Welcome back to another CoW update, where we break down the most notable developments of the last few weeks at CoW DAO.
TL;DR
- During the month of June, CoW Protocol handled a total volume of $2.66B and generated a surplus of $20M
- In exciting news, CoW DAO attended ETHcc, crossed 1,000 ETH in generated revenue, and had a breakout month for MEV Blocker
- In terms of Governance, CoW DAO executed CIPS 46, 47, 48, and 49
Protocol Stats
This month, CoW Protocol settled a total of $2.65B in trading volume.
The top batches worth highlighting are the following:
Batch containing the highest volume (Transaction details): The total batch volume was $61,110,239 and it was created by a single trader swapping wETH to wstETH.
Batch with the highest amount of surplus (Transaction details): The total batch volume was exactly $10M and it was created by a single trader swapping USDT for ETH**.** The batch achieved a surplus of 69.94 ETH (2.14%).
During the month of July, the top 10 traders traded a total of $31,713,561.
In the table below you can see the total volume for this month’s biggest trades. The most active trader executed a whopping $10,220,367 in trades with CoW Protocol this month.
Solvers
In July, solvers generated a total of $20.2M in surplus, which is money in the pockets of traders.

Executed Proposals
The DAO executed four important proposals this month:
- CIP-46: Funding for Marketing & Business Development Services — Service Agreement No 1
- CIP-47: Funding for the purpose of facilitating the listing COW token on CEXs
- CIP-48: Solver rewards budget renewal and update of CoW DAO bonding pool operations
- CIP-49: Extending the Revenue Model Testing Period for CoW Protocol
Draft Proposals
This month, there were two new proposals asking for feedback before moving into the next phase, final CIPs, in their current form:
- CIP-Draft: Wintermute <> COW Liquidity Provision Partnership
- CIP-Draft: Amendment Balancer & Cow Protocol Strategic Partnership — Launching CoWAMM Pools

- The CoW team attended ETHcc, giving several talks including a feature on the first MEV-capturing AMM mechanism — CoW AMM
- CoW DAO has paved the way toward sustainability by generating just over 1,000 ETH in protocol revenue during the last 7 months
- In July, MEV Blocker protected 13.8B in trading volume and returned a whopping 213 ETH in rebates to 416,000 users across 2.8M transactions
- Safe{Wallet} got CoW Swap TWAP orders natively integrated into the wallet swap
- Attention web3 governance fans! CoW DAO is searching for applicants to join the Delegate Council and play a crucial role in the new COW Token Vote Delegation Program
- Convex enabled mints for $cvxCRV directly from the CoW Swap interface
- Stackly, the DCA tool built on top of CoW Swap, launched on Arbitrum
- Hot off the heels of our launch on Arbitrum, CoW Swap crossed $40M in trading volume on the L2
